Emergency Shelter - Lincoln Prep High School

 Location: 4777 Imperial Avenue, San Diego, CA 92113.

At this time, Red Cross only has one location available for those in need of immediate shelter.  SD Humane Society is also on-site to provide co-located sheltering for pets of those affected.   To learn more, visit the Red Cross

Jackie Robinson YMCA located at 151 YMCA Way, San Diego, CA, 92102 are offering the use of their showers to anyone impacted by the floods who needs them.

San Diego Unified School District is offering hotel vouchers for students enrolled and attending classes and their families.  Applicants must have valid ID.  No credit card is required.  To request a stay, a parent/guardian must complete the Request Form and have the school or district liaison submit for approval.  For further information and to Submit Request Forms, contact Linda Lee Garibay at: linda.lee@sdcoe.net, or (858) 298-2072.

Clothing & Supplies

Jackie Robinson Family YMCA located at 151 YMCA Way, San Diego, CA, 92102, is collecting donations, including clothing, gently used blanket, pillows, jackets and towels.  They're also collecting personal hygiene items and cleaning supplies.  If you are able to, consider making a donation.  If you're in need, hit them up! Sharia's Closet is having an Emergency Clothing Donation Drive in response to the disaster and has partnered with Home and More Stores to collect donations in-store.  Donations can be made at 6308 Riverdale Street, San Diego, CA 92120.  Hours are as follows: Sun & Mon: closed, Tues-Fri: 11a-6p, Sat: 10a-4p. Food

CalFresh and San Diego Hunger Coalition are offering those who receive benefits up to (1) month of replacement benefits if your food spoiled due to power outage of over 4 hours, was damaged by the disaster,  your utilities were shut off, or your appliances are inoperable.  You have up 10 days after your food was lost to request replacement benefits.

Mental Health Support

The Jackie Robinson Family YMCA is offering mental health support for those affected that need to speak to someone.  The Resource Team can be reached by email (counselingservices@ymcasd.org) for connection to mental health support or referral navigation.

The Red Cross  Disasters are upsetting experiences for everyone involved. Children, senior citizens, people with disabilities and people for whom English is not their first language are especially at risk and are likely to need extra care and help.  To reach out for free 24/7 counseling or support, call or text the Disaster Distress Helpline at 1-800-985-5990.
